Colonization

Why do people colonize?
Colonization was usually done by powerful European countries who had advanced technology and culture that no one every thought of. These european countries had their every beliefs from their religion 'christianity'. One of the reason that colonization happens is because these countries want to spread their religion. Religion was one of their main culture that these countries wanted the world to know their religion 'christianity'.
The second reason behind colonization is to conquer land and extend their power to make a stronger country or an empire. Taking Britain and Rome as examples, these expanded their land and captured goods and gold. These empires were not just born powerful from the beginning, they slowly expanded their land and extent power which was the main reason behind many colonizations until now.

Explain how the reasons behind colonization lead to exploitation. "Earth provides enough to satisfy evern man's needs, but not every man's greed” - Mahatma Gandhi.

This quote is the reason that explains why colonization lead to exploitation. The colonizers first migrate to live in other countries. But as soon as more people come, their greed to exploit and take over the country gets bigger. Most likely, the colonizers first came to the country without realizing that their greed will force them to take over the country. But looking at the 'Rabbit Proof Fence', the british are not satified just by having control over the aboriginals and their country. Men's greed is what leads to this awful results as most of them often forget that they were the colonizers, not conquerers.

  1. I liked your introduction because it tells us that the Europeans conquered other countries with their powerful military technology and how that led to exploitation. You gave many reasons why the colonizers colonized other countries in the first place, but you didn't give any background information and didn't develop much on them. Next time maybe you should give more details and the causes that led to colonization&exploitation and your posts will be superb.

  2. I really liked your introduction like Jong yeup said since I could really understand why people colonized because of the good reasons you gave. There was a few typing mistakes.

  3. I liked the way you have organized your colonization posting. At first, you have answered the question and then followed with an example of colonization and exploitation. I also liked that you found examples from your own knowledge and shared them with the audience.
